BOY BOY BOY! We were so excited to learn today at our sonogram that it's a boy! The sonographer pointed out all the parts and said, while she couldn't guarantee it, she was quite certain we are having a son! I have always wanted boys, and Rick too agreed that a boy the first time around would be ideal, so we are both thrilled! We got a few pictures, which I'll ask Rick to post sometime over the weekend.

We have decided on a name and are perfectly happy to share! (I hate it when people keep the names secret...and who honestly expects me to keep a secret like this?) There is a naming tradition in Rick's family, and though we have decided not to go with that tradition, we did decide we wanted to use family names for both first and middle. The first name we have chosen is from Rick's side: Charles. His grandfather, father, and uncle carry the name and his mother has talked about wishing she had named a son Charles. The name from my side is Lawrence, my grandfather's name. It is coincidentally the name of the town we live in, which we absolutely love! So our son's name will be Charles Lawrence Stones, and we'll call him Charlie.
