Charlie had a wonderful first Christmas! As is tradition, we put up our Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. We very intentionally put Charlie-safe ornaments on the bottom branches, but as it turned out, Charlie wasn't very interested in the tree. This picture was one of only two or three times he grabbed at it!

We had Christmas with Gigi, Grandpa, Uncle Alex, and Aunt Molly the weekend before Christmas. Charlie got lots of great stuff! He's sitting in his favorite gift from Grandpa below:

On Christmas Eve we went to the Christmas Eve service at Western Hills. Mommy and Daddy were both singing, so Charlie "sat" with Gigi and Grandpa. Grandpa had to stand with him in the back for most of the service, but the service was only 35 minutes long!

On Christmas Day we slept in and went to the Shane family Christmas celebration for lunch. Charlie got a gift from Santa (aka cousin Eric) and we ate lots of delicious food, including jello, which, as it turns out, Charlie LOVES!

Around two o'clock we went to Great-Grandpa Harold and Patty's house, where Charlie took a much needed nap! We spent some time there with Rick's family and then went to Grandpa and Gigi's where we hung out with Great Uncles John and Ron, Great Aunt Jana, and cousins Jennie, Shane, and Whitney!

The day after Christmas we headed to Papa and Nana's after church. Charlie got lots of great stuff, though he was not very interested in opening presents. We did get one shot of Charlie almost helping Daddy open one of his gifts:

We ended the evening at Great Papa and Marge's house, where Charlie was once again showered with gifts. He is one blessed little boy, to have so many people who love him!
