NICU Follow-Up Visit

Our little girl is not so little anymore.  At her NICU followup appointment today she weighed 14 lbs, 9 oz!  Goodness gracious, girl!  They also said she was making amazing progress - in fact, on her cognitive development scale, she scored 7/8, and she was only supposed to score 3!  The occupational therapist who evaluated her was extremely impressed by Lucy's progress.  It was a great visit!

And the best part of today's visit was taking her down to see some of the wonderful people who took such great care of her for 19 days in the NICU.  Above is Jamie, who had Lucy for several days and was so excited to see her.  She asked me to send her this picture so she could have a copy.

And here Lucy is with the neonatal surgeon who looked after her on the left and her FABULOUS nurse practitioner on the right.  We ended up with quite a crowd in the hall - another few nurses joined us after I put the camera away.

I really can't say enough good about this team of medical professionals.  They were so amazing and they took such great care of our baby.  It was so nice to see them all today!
