Dear Daddy,

 

Happy Father's Day!  We hope you enjoy the things we have planned for you today.  If we were old enough, we would say thank you for:

• Tucking us in at night
• Taking us to the park
• Missing us when you're away
• Playing trains (Charlie)
• Watering the plants (Charlie
• Riding the train at the zoo (Charlie)
• Teaching me to use the potty (Charlie)
• Searching far and wide so I could have the most complete collection of Thomas trains possible (Charlie)
• Getting down on the floor and playing with me (Lucy)
• Rocking me to sleep and then snuggling me instead of putting me down so you could go do something else (Lucy)
• Being our daddy

And if we were really old, we'd thank you for:

• Taking us to church
• Not letting us get away with things
• Teaching us manners and then forcing us to use them
• Wiping our butts
• Working your tail off at school when we were young
• Working your tail off in your job
• Basically, working your tail off in everything you do
• Setting for us an example of what it is to be a godly person and parent

We know that sometimes we are messy, stubborn, rude, uncooperative, and a pain.  But because of you we are learning to get better.  We love you more than we know.  And so does Mommy.
