SUMMER IS HERE!

Being a teacher, summer means something more to me than it does for the typical parent - summer means I get to spend ALL DAY EVERY DAY WITH MY KIDS!  YAY!

We have lots of fun things planned for this summer, and we've done some of them already!  Here's our (working) list:

I am SO EXCITED about being home with my kids this summer!  This is a working list, and the ones that are crossed off are by no means "done" but so far, I want to do the following with my kids:
  • lots of hugs, kisses, and one-on-two time
  • swim A LOT (though it's been too cold to go yet)
  • zoo - went to the KC Zoo yesterday!
On the tram at the KC Zoo with cousin Peyton
And little Miss Lucy, eating Uncle Steven's keys :)
  • art lab at WU
  • Bonkers

    • finger painting
    • camp out in the back yard (contingent on me finding a tent)
    • gymnastics class - we are enrolled for the whole summer!
    • Farmer's Market
    • library
    • go bowling  - this was so much more fun than we were expecting!

    He LOVED this!
This was right after I told Charlie we were going home, so he's not very happy with me!
    • swim lessons
    • build forts
    • putt putt
    • fly a kite
    • park
    • make homemade ice cream (Rick's family has a tradition of doing this on the 4th of July, so we'll probably try that)
    • July 4th parade and party!
    • feed the ducks
We fed the ducks (but really there were way more geese) and Charlie had a ball! He wasn't the least bit scared of those geese!
    • Bible study playdate on Wednesday mornings
    • go to a movie - this actually went really well! Charlie watched, and so did Lucy!
Sorry for the picture quality, but it was dark in there!

    • family vaycay in CO
    • play with trains
    • watch something
The last two are ones that Charlie added before he got bored with the task :/

We have had SO much fun, and it's only the end of week 2!
