Two Months!

Little Miss Lucy turned two months old on Monday, December 3rd!  Isn't she adorable?
She is growing like a flower.  She is eating like a pro and putting on the pounds to prove it.  She is getting really good with moving her head and she's really starting to take notice of her surroundings. About a week and a half ago we took her in for her car seat test, which she passed with flying colors.  It is so much easier to transport her now that she is in a car seat!

At her two month appointment, the doctor told us that she is now in the 14th percentile of babies born at term - in other words, if she had been born on time, she'd still be bigger than 14% of babies her age.  That's HUGE for a premie!  They told us we could begin to treat her like a "normal" baby - we could start sleep training (GREAT news) and we could take her out some.  He said to be sure to keep her away from sick people and make everyone wash their hands before holding her.  He okayed us to go to our immediate family's Christmas celebrations!

On the downside, I had to go back to work this week.  It wasn't nearly as hard as it was with Charlie, probably because I had been off for four weeks already before she was born, but it was difficult to leave her snuggles.  However, she is in the very capable hands of her Gigi - a huge thank you to her for taking care of our little girl for us!  We are looking forward to all being home as a family of four over Christmas break!
